July: Relax and Play

For the rest of the month, we tried to relax and play! July was so fun, but so jam packed, but here are a few cute memories!
Silly kids playing all the time!
This sweet girl started to love brushing her teeth...to copy her brother and sister!
And Grace decided to do my makeup one day on the floor of my bathroom. She is so funny and Everly decided to copy her doing that too!

We also played with Ellie and Greer one day!

Lunches and fun!
Everly has loved necklaces and would go between this black J Crew necklace and a yellow one as well.
Everly also loved her babies. She had been sleeping with two babies since Christmas and had just started really pretending with them.
On this day, I had Atticus write down his and Grace's current favorite things. I thought these were such cute answers!
Feed the baby, feed the brother!
It was a great month!

July 23: Wagners Going Away Party

When I started working at TWRI many years ago, we started making many friends who got married, had kids and are still friends today! One of those families was the Wagners. Cecilia and Kevin were working at TWRI and only engaged when I began and they have been such good friends to us since then. Kevin was my boss at one time, and Cecilia has been a wonderful mom friend to have all of these years! Vic and Kevin have even run the TIR together. They have 4 daughters and 1 son and this past summer, they decided they needed to make a move to Oklahoma. Kevin took a new job at OSU, so off they went. However, Meghan and Lucas, their closest friends, decided to throw them a surprise party to say goodbye from our TWRI crew! Though many of TWRI group has moved on to other jobs or retired or are stay at home moms, some are still at TWRI and most are still in Bryan/College Station so almost all of them made it to the party! It was a fun way to see everyone and catch up! And I want to document all of the families that have come together since Dr. Harris started hiring this very special group many years ago (with ages of kiddos on this day). He truly had a knack for putting together the best group of recent college graduates to make TWRI so successful!

Dr. Bill & Janie Harris
Kevin & Cecilia Wagner: Josie (10), Evelyn (8), Isabelle (7), Luke (3), Vivian (5 months)
Lucas & Meghan Gregory: Lizzy (9), Lane (6), Hannah (1)
Justin & Danielle Kalisek: Jase (4), Reed (7 months)
Allen & Lacy Berthold: one on the way!

Not at the party, but still part of the TWRI Crew:
Seth & Courtney Smith: Mitchell (5), Clarke (3), and Patrick (8 months)
Russell & Megan Meier: Cole (8) and Nathan (4)
Garrett & Leslie Lee: Andrew (I think 3) and Parker (I think 1)
And then us: Vic & Sarah: Atticus (6), Grace (4), and Everly (1).

So the fun fact about this is that basically, Dr. Harris got to have almost 21 grandchildren by this time in July 2017! And this crew had 7 weddings while employed at TWRI! These are the people we did Happy Hours with before kids; threw wedding showers and then baby showers for; made meals when they had babies and visited them in the hospital; got together for birthdays and special events! It is just a great crew that I wish I still saw ALL of every day1 How crazy are those fun facts!

Okay here is our quick picture! And a few more just because.

July 21-23: Fishing Trip

This was Atticus's second year to go on a fish trip down in South Texas with Vic, Steve and Janice. He loves having those special trips and enjoys fishing with Grandpa! Steve and Janice have a lake house on Lake Corpus Christi in Mathis. So, they got there Friday night to swim in the lake to start their weekend. And they played with Legos that Vic pulled out from a million years ago. Vic could remember making these pieces and was shocked they were never taken apart. Atticus thought it was so cool!
They got up bright and early the next morning, applied lots of sunscreen, and took off fishing. They had a great day and caught a ton of fish. That evening, Arleigh and Iris came to play and Atticus even got to sit in Granny Liz's lap. It was another special weekend of Fishing with Janny, Grandpa and Daddy!

Meanwhile, the girls and I were at home going to Kari's gender reveal party (she's having a girl!), playing with all of our toys, sleeping in mom's bed and eating Chick-Fil-A!

July 18-20: Grace's Cinderella Camp

Back in June, I took Grace to her dance studio for 3 days of Cinderella Circle, which is for little girls who love to dance. Well, after day 1, she got a stomach bug so we rescheduled to come back in July instead. I'm so glad we did because she loved it! They do crafts, have a tea party, shop for goodies with Cinderella money and practice a dance to perform at the end of the week. It's only 1.5 hours per day, but it is so fun! And, she gets to dress up each day in a different costume of her choice! Here are some photos and a video of her cute dance she performed!

July 16: Date with Atticus & Everly's Kisses

Sometimes, I really want a one-on-one date with my kids. I like to get away and focus solely on them. So, after a very busy few weeks, Atticus and I took an afternoon date to Fuddrucker's, one of his favorite restaurants, and played his USA card game and played with Pokemon cards where we decided since we didn't actually know how to play the Pokemon game, we would just play Go Fish with them. Atticus is so much fun and so smart and really values one-on-one time, so it was such a sweet few hours with him! He packed an entire bag of things to do, and of course, we took the day's favorite stuffed animal with us!
Also, when we got home, I had to document Everly's kissy face. She makes fish lips before she kisses and they are the sweetest kisses I've ever had!
