Atticus's Fall Baseball Season with the Knights

This fall, Atticus played his first season of machine pitch fall ball. He was on the Knights and ironically, had the same color jersey as T-ball. When we signed up, I really thought he needed another season of T-ball, since he had only played one season, but we were told that whatever he was going to play in the spring, he should also play the fall before. So, he did and I'm glad he did. It was great experience for the spring. It was different though! Most of the boys were older and threw harder, ran faster, knew more about the game. It was really good for him to do this. And, I was curious how hitting off the machine would go, but he did great and had lots of hits during the season. Fall ball was much calmer than spring ball; only Tuesday/Thursdays each week and while they didn't get in any practices after the first couple of weeks, it was nice to not be as busy in the spring, although I wondered if starting evening activities as soon as school started would be a good idea. I think it was okay, but he was still tired and by the end of the season, I think we were all ready for a little break. They started in September and played until early-November. They didn't win a lot of games, but Atticus had fun, especially with Greer on his team!
Playing catcher is tough and he didn't really have any practice before playing, but always wanted to put on the gear and be catcher.
GG even made it to his last game. The season started out pretty hot in September, but by the time we got to the end, it was cold at night!
Me and my girl with her "ear gloves". Oh Grace!
I love this little baseball player!
His team; his coach was Andy Thorne and I really have no idea all of the other kids! I forget those names so quickly!
 Crazy boys!
We ran into Brody & Briggs one night after a game; they are in Atticus's class at school!

Memories in October

Here are a few extra memories in October:
We had lots of Mommy - Atticus time. He thrives on quality time and for some reason that month, we were all about lists and games and organizing it all on the dry erase board!
We spent a lot of time cheering on the Aggies and this is where the beginning of Atticus's love for football and team mascots began. Beginning with a Florida game that the Aggies played, Atticus started drawing mascots and realizing the difference in the teams and scores and keeping track. It was a really fun phase to start! Here's a quick video as well:

We played fall baseball in College Station with the Knights. This was Atticus's first season of machine pitch baseball. It's a big learning curve to hit off of the machine, but he did really good. Here's one video of a hit: https://youtu.be/S27bnF5Ovhc
We painted nails and styled ourselves daily!
We loved on our friend, Hannah, when we would go with them to library time!
And we took first grade pictures...why does he look so grown up?
He really wanted to practice running the block this day! He wants to get faster and faster!
And finally, here are two fun videos of the kids:
Grace reciting a made up song from school: https://youtu.be/JgRagXdKxXE
Atticus singing Take Me Out to the Ballgame, which we sing every time on the way to a game: https://youtu.be/GfkJKOxiW6s

Fall: Pumpkin Patches, Football, Halloween activities

October is always a fun month for fall and Halloween activities. Here are some things we did this month:
We dressed in lots of cute outfits for Halloween. And, the first picture is Grace and then Everly; they wore the same outfit on the same day 3 years apart!
We visited the neighbors yard multiple times to see all of their fun and scary yard decorations!

We made lots of Halloween goodies!
We decorated and crafted and tried to scare Mommy with all of our Halloween masks!
We went with MOPS to the Oil Ranch and played all of the games and rides!

We went to a carnival with Dani and then joined Grace for her preschool Halloween party!
We had our annual family day at the Pumpkin patch where we bought our pumpkins and mums!
And we played a lot of football outside with our neighbors and friends! It was a busy month!
