Vic & Atticus' Trip to Goliad

In the month of August, the Seidel side of the family had a big reunion down in Cuero, Texas. It was the weekend of August 12th. I can't really remember why we decided that only Vic and Atticus would go, except that they were turning it into a boys weekend. Vic found an incredible Air B&B house for them to rent, so they loaded up and took their trip. The girls and I stayed home for a girls weekend. The reunion was Saturday at Warren Seidel's home and Vic and Atticus had a great time! They swam and ate and visited! Then, on Sunday, they got up for their boys trip to Goliad to the Goliad State Park & Historic Site. Atticus and Vic both love history and Atticus is always up for an adventure. They had the best time hiking around and reading history. I know it was really special for Vic too. They ended up stopping for pizza on the way home, in Round Top, where Vic and I have also stopped before. It was just a really good weekend for the two of them before Atticus started first grade.
This was the Seidel Family who attended the Reunion.
Later, they checked into their house for the night; Vic said it was so nice and the lady who owned it was so nice. He already wanted to bring our family back to stay there and find something to do around the area because it was a great place for our family to enjoy as well! Atticus and Vic played with the toys they brought, face-timed me, and headed off to bed!

The next day they woke up for their adventure! I cannot tell you what all of these pictures represent, but I'm sure they still could! I remember them getting home and Atticus showing me each and every photo and telling me what he saw. And, I love Vic for taking so many great pics of Atticus - he knows the way to my heart! So, for their memories, here they are!

Pizza for the win! And the end to a special father/son/history weekend!

Everly: Baths and Brushing Teeth

One night, while Vic and Atticus were in Goliad, I gave Everly a bath and took way too many photos. This is her at 16 months. She has so many expressions and is too cute. So, I decided to just post all the photos because it was a cute night!

 This was her serious face.
In the photo above and below, I think she looks like some of Vic's baby photos.
Is there anything sweeter than tiny baby hands? I know that is what Melbo, my grandmother, always likes the most - tiny baby hands.
And this head full of hair! It's so red and has so much body, plus a little curl on the ends!
For the longest time, this was her kissy face and how she would give kisses. Oh those sweet baby lips!
She had been into babies a lot and I loved watching her love on them.

Also, around this time, Everly decided to copy the big kids and start brushing her teeth. This is also when she began to love a stool as much as her chairs. She can be very independent!
Of course, Grace needs to be a good big sister and brush her hair and help her brush her teeth.
I love these sweet girls so much!

Backyard Family Fun

I love family time. It's just fun. And throughout the summer, one of our favorite things to do is to play in the water in the backyard and cookout. We love to do it with family and friends, and love to do it with just our Seidel Five. On this night, it was just memorable. Vic cooked a delicious dinner for outside; the kids played; we took baths in the pool at the end of the night and just had a nice evening in the heat of August.

This photo below reminds me of the show Parenthood; with the lights and the backyard.
It was a fun night!
