Today, Atticus was in the playroom (did I tell you all that we just turned the dining room that we have never bought a dining room table for and have never used as an actual dining room into the playroom? such a better use of space for us!) playing and all of a sudden I hear the Chicken Dance. For his birthday, he got some fun cards that played music. They have just stayed with his toys and they are opened pretty often. We have taught him the Chicken Dance, but hasn't caught on completely. So, I start doing the chicken dance with the music and he tells me "no" and puts the card down. I go back to dishes and hear it again. I look over and he is doing the dance but doesn't know I'm watching. It's so cute watching his arms go right into those little armpits to flap and then he claps at the end. He catches me watching and he stops and says "no". So, I go back to dishes again and he continues a minute later when he thinks I'm not watching. Of course, however, I sneak a peek. It's almost like he is practicing but doesn't want anyone to know!
They better play the Chicken Dance at Jill's wedding. Atticus should be ready for it!
Awwww, I LOVE that!!!! I hope he does it while we're in town!!! molly
