Everly is 7 months!

Our Everly is 7 months old!
  • Since I had to take her in for her booster flu shot at 7 months, I got an accurate weight. She is 16 lbs. 7 oz. and in the 40th percentile.
  • She is still a great sleeper and goes with the flow for naps.
  • She is still rolling around on the floor, but prefers to have me just sit and play with her. She doesn't really do much rolling unless I'm out of sight, but if I make eye contact, she cries and waits for me to come to her attention! So, hopefully the rolling continues.
  • She can sit up on her own once I put her in that position, but she can't get there on her own yet.
  • She likes to play and put any and everything in her mouth! She can't grab little things yet, but it won't be long!
  • She is still pretty quiet and very observant. She will squeal and play, but not a ton of talking yet.
  • She is kind of back and forth on wanting to be in her jumperoo. She doesn't love it as much these days.
  • She has cut another tooth; a top one. But, I can see where the other top one is trying to break through. She had a rough couple of days with that first one. They look so giant coming through her skin. The two on the bottom are fully in now.
  • She loves her paci. She can pick it up and put it in her mouth now and keeps it in most of the night.
  • She is still in size 2 diapers and I will probably put her in size 3 soon. She is just so petite that I haven't thought she needed to move up yet.
  • She is doing much better eating, but really only likes table food. She loves to eat graham crackers or those townhouse crackers. She will hold them, because they are bigger, and just chew and chew and chew on them or gum them until she eats the entire cracker. She prefers those over baby mum mums. I have also fed her just dinners that we eat: spaghetti, rice, beans, eggs, and chicken and dumplings. I can't get her to eat any more baby food, although I did have luck with baby pears one night. She has refused bananas and avocados. She isn't quite old enough to pick up tiny things yet, so even when I tried puffs just to see if she liked them, she really wasn't interested. So, we are going to just keep trying. I felt relieved when I talked to the nurse at her flu shot appointment and was reminded that all she really needs is breast milk until she is 1. Other food is just a bonus. I was a little worried that she wasn't getting enough food and not gaining weight. But, for now, we will keep trying. Oh and lets not forget how much she liked those banana pumpkin chocolate chip muffins at Halloween! Oh and she is taking water like a champ! My other two were not that interested in water.
  • She is still in the stranger danger mode. She will just cry and cry when someone takes her, but when Vic or I take her back, her tears turn off completely.
  • Her laugh is hilarious. It's that precious baby gut-laugh that I love!
  • She loves mama and daddy time. I feel like she amps up her energy when the older kids go to bed because she knows it is finally just her time!
  • She is still a snuggle bug! She will also get shy and hide her face when she is around other people and they talk to her. If I am holding her and someone talks to her, she will bury her head in my chest. Then she will sit up to look at them and do it all over again. She is just so snuggly!
  • She has hit that age where I do not take the carseat in and out of the car, but just get her in and out. While it is more work sometimes than just popping that carseat in and out, she loves to be carried into preschool for Grace or taken in the basket at Target.
  • She keeps a pretty good schedule. My goodness, she is a good sleeper. She will sleep about 8 or 8:30 at night to about 7:30 or 8:00 in the morning. Sometimes, she will wake up, play a few minutes and then go right back to sleep for a couple more hours.
  • We just love her so much and can't believe she is 7 months old!
