We started out month out just being cute and thankful!
Took this sweet girl to Target lots of times!
Had hilarious conversations with this boy in the cafeteria at school lunchtime.
I played with this girl a lot...she demands lots of one-on-one playtime.
We watched this sweet, soft hair grow. It's still red, but has some blonde growing in too!
We played in the playroom a lot when the big kids didn't have it covered in "too tiny for baby hands" toys.
We watched Grace do LOTS and LOTS of setups. Her imagination is the best!
We snuggled this baby as much as we could.
Well, here is another setup. In this setting, Grace put all of her ponies to sleep under the giant blanket. They were very sick this day.
We got a fancy "new to us" stroller!
We took Cinderella to dance class where Grace has been practicing her song to Rudolph for the Christmas dance performance.
Although we didn't make it to Quanah, we sent Happy Birthday pics with mom to Melveeta, my great aunt who turned 95!
We snuggled up. Oh how I love this sweet baby!
We made it through church here and there. Usually, Everly and I slip out during the sermon for a quick snack.
Grace finally wormed her way into not only Atticus's room, but into his bed. She never sleeps in her bed anymore. And I'm glad Atticus doesn't mind for now. At least he is past telling Grace she has to sit perpendicular to him at the end of the bed. At first, he had lots of requirements about how and where she could take up room in his bed. But, we are past that stage. I think, if you look at this picture, Grace takes up any space she wants. Oh and she tells me lots of mornings lately, when I ask her how she slept, that she couldn't sleep because Atticus was snoring. This girl!
Atticus had Book Character Day at school and they all paraded around the halls and gym with the high school drum line leading them. He was the Tickle Monster from the book, Tickle Monster. I made that costume the night before...some felt, quick sewing, a girls jacket from Walmart and some safety pins, and we had a costume! Thanks to Rita who bought us this book and the tickle monster hands so long ago!
We looked adorable on a daily basis. And ran around with no socks or shoes because it was still mostly 80 degrees the entire month of November!
We somehow dressed one day and looked like a teenager at age 3.
More evening snuggles.
Oh and a few sleeping snuggles during Grace's ballet class.
We left Cinderella at home, but brought our baby to ballet the next week. What is this baby's name? Well, it varies from Melissa to Sweetheart to Isa to Baby. You just never know!
We took some Christmas card pictures in downtown Bryan. Here's just a sneak peek of one!
Then, we actually ate lunch out as a family of 5 in downtown Bryan at Casa Rod. So delicious and so successful!
We also kicked off the holiday season the weekend before Thanksgiving with a trip to Rudder Theater on campus to see Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, the musical.
It was exactly like the movie with every song, voice, script and characters. It was so good! Although next time, I will wait until they sell half price tickets the day before the event....it was only about 1/4th full! But, our seats were in the balcony where we had a little alcove to ourselves with nobody in front or behind us. Everly was so good and when she got hungry, I was able to just give her a little snack and not miss any of the performance! However, as good as it was and as great as the kids were, our luck ran out at our 2nd restaurant for the weekend. We went to Zaxby's chicken (new chicken place) and since we couldn't cry in public, we just had to try to laugh instead. Grace was so cranky and refused to eat; Everly wanted to be held and not sit in her high chair; and Atticus (we realized after we sat down) was burning up with fever. I think we were over-ambitious after our successful restaurant outing the day before and shouldn't have tried day 2! Life with three kids age 5 and under!
Since we had school on Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week, the first day Atticus dressed like a greaser from the 50's for decades day. At least, we did the best we could with a white tee and rolled up jeans. :)
We set up the ranch quite a bit.
We finally cracked open geodes from Atticus's birthday and put rocks into the rock polisher.
I tried to copy professional bakers ideas and made a few decorated sugar cookies. I am obsessed with watching decorating videos on instagram. I just know I can make mine look professional if I have time to practice. Oh wait...I have kids! Ha!
Everly woke every once in awhile for a midnight snack. And on this time, I really wanted her to just snuggle up and fall asleep in bed with me. Why does she have to be so obedient with her sleeping routine and want to fall sleep in her own bed?
Vic cooked a delicious thanksgiving meal with turkey, dressing, gravy, squash casserole, cranberry sauce, salad and I made a pumpkin chess pie. Yum! And Katie joined us for lunch that day.
Although not a picture from that day, we celebrated 9 years of marriage on November 17. We met for lunch at Torchy's Tacos with Everly and called it our celebration. I'm also very thankful for this man.
Since we were getting so excited for Christmas, Vic let the kids setup the rubber duck nativity and let Grace decorate a tree. This tree has little peg people ornaments. That night, she couldn't sleep so she got down and played with those ornaments and did setups and pretended for at least an hour. This girl loves to pretend! We could just hear her talking away through the door while Atticus slept and slept.
Also on Thanksgiving day, Mary and Taylor and Paul came up for the day from visiting Frost and we took a little campus tour.
This will be a fun picture to recreate over the years as our kids grow up!
I wish we lived closer to the Veretts so we could see them all the time. And our babies could play!
Oh and by the way, Taylor finally got Vic to buy a new 60 inch TV. Vic has wanted one for awhile and for some reason, every male we know, thought he needed a bigger TV. Black Friday gave him a great deal. So, I lost this one. I really hope we get to watch LOTS of Hallmark Christmas movies this month on it together since we just had to have a new one! ;) And finally, we just kept up our daily schedules of school, preschool, ballet, girls days (as Grace calls every Monday and Wednesday where she is not in school or ballet and it's just us girls), church, and family time. We put up the tree, got the yard decorated and lit up, and finally got a little cooler weather to wear some warmer clothes. I'll post some Christmas things later! But, that's the update!
