Whitney in Town!

1. I apologize for lack of posting. I think this is my problem: you see, I think a picture has to go with every post because it's just way more fun to have something to look at along with what you are reading. So, instead of just updating about our lives, I wait until I've uploaded pictures, which tends to just not happen often, thus putting off my updates. From now on, I will either update without pics or upload pics quicker. I promise. At least I promise to try.

2. Whitney was in town for a few days in August! Whitney is always super fun! She can laugh about anything, yet she is also very smart and I always learn a lot when I'm with her. PLUS she can cook. And, I love to eat tasty food. So, it works out well. Truly though we had a great weekend. Vic and I had to work during her first day here, but she made good use of the new house and took in it's relaxability features. No, that is probably not a word. That night, however, Katrina and Mary joined Whitney, Vic and I and we ate dinner at Christopher's. Obviously, this was a special occasion to have her in town because Vic and I had not been there since December 2006 to celebrate him receiving his M.S. degree! It was all very tasty and fun, despite the waitress who chastised DC and gave us her opinion of politics, when she learned Whitney was from there! Poor Whitney!
This is on the porch of Christopher's World Grille!

The rest of the weekend was spent drinking some tasty wine and fun beers, eating lots of delicious food cooked up by Whitney, Vic and of course Katerina who makes the best desserts ever, and visiting until very late hours! I'd forgotten what 3am looked like until we started chatting so much; we just couldn't go to bed!
This is Vic and Whitney cooking up something delicious - I think here Whitney was making onion dip with caramelized onions. I think I might have eaten the whole bowl. Just kidding, but I could have!
And here is another delicious appetizer that Vic made. Don't you love all the hands reaching for a bite? And, here is Cady, Katerina and Whitney chatting it up in our new house! Look at the super fun "Big Book of Home How-To" on the coffee table! Cady and David gave us that as part of our housewarming gift and obviously, that tells you how well they know us! We will definitely be using it!

We even met a famous radio deejay! Well, we will consider him famous; he is on Candy 95 here in College Station and he CAME TO OUR HOUSE FOR DINNER! Vic was super impressed and I'm not going to lie, so was I. He was so nice. His name is Adam Knight and he is best friends with Katerina's boyfriend Jason. So many details. But, Katerina and Jason joined us for a dinner party with our friends Cady and David and brought Adam. We had a really good time. I do wish we had taken a picture with him, but we never got one. I felt a little silly asking for one, even though I did bring it up. I mean, I didn't want to put him on the spot, but it was super cool! Maybe next time in a more "picture taking" atmosphere! Then, I'll post it!

Overall, it was fantastic!
How cute is the Circle? Okay, without Jenna we are only a Triangle! But, look at us - we even color coordinated, apparently, and didn't even plan it!
And, look at this stud! How cute is he?
