Grace: Nursery
So, since Grace is almost 6 months old, I guess it is time to show you pictures of her nursery! With Atticus, we didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl, so we did a neutral nursery. We decorated with primary colors and denim. The theme was ABC animals, as the quilt had the ABC's that corresponded to adorable animals. I love that nursery. We made a lot of the pieces and it was so sweet. And, since we didn't know if we were having a boy or girl with Grace and it was a neutral room, I had decided before she was born to leave it just the way it was. Until we had her. And she was a girl. And in the hospital room that week, GG found a baby quilt on Pottery Barn. And then we decided to go all out and make it a full girl room. Vic didn't even mind; this is good because we had lots of projects for him to help us with. GG did most of the decorating and shopping and sewing. We bought the bumper pad and quilt from Pottery Barn. GG sewed the dust ruffle, curtains, diaper holder (including the hand applique), and bow for the laundry hamper. Vic painted shelves and the basket, and made the bow holder and the cookie-sheet-turned-magnet-board. Vic and GG made the precious flower mirror. We made artwork to match the quilt, decorated the letters of her name with Modge Podge, framed some pictures, hung some butterflies in the corner, bought a rug and we were done. Oh and you can see the sign on the door made by GG & Atticus when Grace came home. I love it; I may never take it down. I am sooo proud of this room and it makes me happy every time I walk into it. I love that we made it sweet and girly for Grace. Here are some pictures!
