Everly at 4 months

I wrote this a couple days after she turned 4 months, and finally uploaded a picture. So, better late than never! Backdating of course too!

Our littlest love is now 4 months old! Here are some stats:

  • She weighs 15 lbs 2 oz. (60%) and is 24 1/2 inches long (21%)
  • She still falls asleep between 10 and 12 and wakes up after about 8-10 hours. When we traveled she didn't quite do this, but at home, she has kept this routine up.
  • She still doesn't have a set schedule; she kind of has to go with whatever we are doing that day. If we are home, she will take 2-3 naps at some point; sometimes in my arms and sometimes in the rock and play.
  • She is holding her head up for much longer periods of time and she still prefers to be walked around. Vic has a specific hold he holds her in and she stays content for a long time...as long as he is walking.
  • She is still in the bassinet and being swaddled at night. I guess I should move her to her bed soon since she is almost as big as the bassinet, but I just keep resisting. Babies don't keep!
  • Her playtime includes some laying on her back to kick if I am right there playing and singing. She likes her rocker and we just pulled out her jumperoo.
  • Her feet and neck are ticklish. Sometimes, I can tickle her neck and she half laughs/half cringes. I hate to be tickled so I am still deciding if she like it or not!
  • She is just smiling more and more, with those sweet little open mouthed smiles! She is also cooing and talking more and more!
  • She has hit that precious stage of wanting her hands in her mouth all the time. Or she will pull her shirt into her mouth or best of all....my fingers! It may seem gross to some, but I think it is so sweet when she just gnaws and sucks on my knuckle with all of that baby slobber! The kids think it is so funny and Grace puts her finger out for Everly to do it to for about 2 seconds at a time!
  • Her hair is still growing; she has lost some at the back where her head rubs when she sleeps. It is pretty bald in that little spot.
  • She is in 3-6 month clothes
  • She loves the paci.
  • She hates her carseat, although during our 1500 mile vacation, she was fine because we rarely stopped the car.
  • Grace and Atticus love her. They are so proud of her. Recently, Grace asks every day how she got out of my tummy. Atticus tells me he is so glad we have a baby. They kiss her, snuggle her, and stay a little too much in her face, but they are also helpful and so gentle with her (with a few reminders). :)
Here she is!
