Two Fridays before Christmas, the 16th, we drove to Sanger for the weekend for Erwin Christmas. For the past few years, we have gone with Ana & Charley to dinner somewhere. They always know great, fun restaurants or places to drink wine, so we were really glad Grandma could keep the older kids and we could join them (with Everly). They took us to Downtown Grapevine, also known as the Christmas Capital of Texas. It was so fun to walk down the street. It was like out of a Hallmark movie. There were Christmas trees everywhere, and all of these events happening aroudn the giant Christmas tree in the middle of the square. There were even kids with Santa hats on carrying their instruments down the street to play in a performance. It was just so "small town" even though it's in the middle of the metroplex.
Anyways, we drank some wine at Umbra Winery and then headed to eat lunch at a Mexican food restaurant whose name I do not remember right now. Then, we stopped by to see their new house decorated at Christmas and then we headed to Melbo's to drop off gifts. It was getting colder and colder and was such a fun afternoon! And can I just comment on her precious coat and hat? Cecilia let me borrow this for Grace so I asked her if I could borrow it again for Everly a few months back. I almost forgot until Cecilia reminded me and I got it right before this FREEZING Sanger weekend. It is the most precious thing!
Baby in a bar? But, this was a pretty cute wine bar to bring her!
Oh my precious baby!
