After Atticus arrived, he wanted to sit next to daddy to look at Grace. Recently, he is really into telling people to "sit".
He was so curious about Grace and held out his hands wanting to hold her all by himself. Clearly, we must help him. I recently read that with your first baby, you spend all of your time protecting your baby from everything and being so careful. With the second baby, you spend all of your time protecting them from your toddler. We definitely have to do that with Atticus, who is so eager to love on baby Grace or touch her.
I love this picture! For some reason, Atticus thinks "tickling" babies is what you are supposed to do. The weekend before, our friends Jenna & Wyatt came into town with their two little ones. One is only 3 months old and Atticus was very interested in holding her and when he did, he said "tickle tickle" as he tickled her. Well, he did the same thing immediately with Grace.
After he met Grace, he opened his present that Grace (aka GG) got him. It was a Simba stuffed animal. He is in love with the movie The Lion King right now. Simba has already made his way into the trio, now quartet, of animals he must sleep with each night. And he also had a "nack" of cheezits.
Here's Atticus tickling Daddy now.
Look at those sweet cheeks!
Well, we didn't have any baby clothes for a girl, so GG went shopping...to Gymboree. She came back with some sweet outfits.
Atticus loves the Ipad. Sometimes it becomes a problem because that is all he wants to do. But, as soon as he sees GG, who has the Ipad, he wants to play. And actually there are some good games available that he plays that are very educational. Vic and I will probably not own one for awhile, so it is a great treat for Atticus when GG is in town; now Mom and Jill also have Ipads, so he has even more chances to play!
The evening was really sweet and fun and I am excited for Grace to have Atticus as her big brother!
